TURNING TO THE BOOK: The founder of the
Internet Archive, Brewster Kahle, of whom I am very much a fan for his work toward the goal of saving a copy of every webpage ever created, has turned to a somewhat archaic form of technology: the book. The
Guardian reports: "Now the
MIT-trained computer
scientist and entrepreneur is expanding his effort to safeguard and
share knowledge by trying to preserve a physical copy of every book ever
published." He said, "We want to see books live forever." Me too.
