Remembering 9/11, ctd

The internet, as you can imagine, is awash with reflections on one of U.S. history's darkest days. I'd like to bring your attention to two of them: Jake Siegel's piece for the Times, and, even better yet, Peter Kaplan's essay in New York magazine. They're both excellent, but if you only have time for one, I'd recommend the latter.
