You may have noticed (in fact, you're probably a first time visitor if you haven't) that I've been making a few changes on the site lately. Among them, there's a new header in place of the old white/red-on-black scheme, with handy links, and so on; the sidebar has been shifted from the left side of the page to the right; we've adjusted the width of the page; new post formats, fonts, footers, and link colours...much of the website, really.

On a number of occasions, you also may have noticed, I tested commenting facilities. However, it has been decided that commenting is a vile and ugly business, despite the intelligence of our readership – as such, we shan't be participating in it. A visit to YouTube alone should convince anyone of their (comment threads) vapidity. Email is vastly better; if you want to respond to any given post on the site, this can be done by clicking the 'respond' link, next to the timestamp and 'share' button, which is a new feature in itself. Regardless, I think that the changes constitute a vast improvement on the old design, allowing us to pursue new forms of commentary, such as video and images, which you may have seen already in some of the posts since the redesign.
