For Al Sharpton, a departure

FOR SHARPTON, A DEPARTURE: As a host on MSNBC, he is no longer allowed to back candidates, having spent years as a politically-active civil rights figure. The Journal reports: "Over the years many New Yorkers, whether they agree or disagree with Mr. Sharpton, have come to expect him to play an oversize role in the high-profile political contests taking place in the city, the state and the nation. So, for many, watching a significant political race without a Sharpton endorsement will be like observing the Fourth of July without fireworks." Well, I wouldn't go that far, but it's big news regardless.
