THE RIGHT TO PRIVACY: Much of the fear (with regard to government) following 9/11 culminated in the passage of the controversial Patriot Act, which was supposedly designed to remove barriers to investigation of attacks against the United States. Over its lifetime, the act has been used 1,618 times for drugs; 122 for fraud; and, shockingly, just 15 times for terrorism.
