After seeing the remastered, 3D version of The Lion King, I am not the least bit surprised to see Disney Pixar's intentions of re-releases for other animated classics such as: Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo. From the attention and acclaim the film's garnered from long time fans, I see no reason why the animation giant wouldn't. This craving for nostalgia and familiarity has indeed caught me, as I relish at the idea of being able to see classics up on the big screen once more.
The film itself managed to entertain me just as much (If not, more so) as it did when I saw it as a child. It has been lovingly polished, from it's 2D animation to it's musical score. As for the 3D elements, they were appropriate and not intrusive. It is probably one of the only theatrical releases I'll consider going to see again. - posted by Ciaran
